Incredibly rare chair.
English, Circa 1830-1860. Paper mache with mother of pearl inlay finished in gold leaf detail.

This chair has a rattan base which is in tip top condition but also has a custom built seat cover as shown in the pictures.

In excellent condition, chair base is taut and in great condition, as is the seat cover. Frame is very very good, a few minor bumps and nicks that one should expect commensurate with age. There has been a professional (barely noticeable) repair to the left arm as you look at the chair; not visible when looking the chair head on

Dimensions: H: 85cms, W: 71cms, D: 59cms, SH : 36cms (without seat cover), 43cms (with cover).
