Who is she? A local mystery!
The attic, a treasure trove of long-forgotten trinkets and possessions. Each item tells a story.
In one such attic in Sandbanks, Dorset, new homeowners uncovered four truly unusual treasures, with a story that remains somewhat of a mystery.
Who is she?
Perhaps you can help us solve it?
Four paintings featuring the same girl, believed to have been commissioned by one artist, were originally found together. Today, only three of the portraits are together; the fourth of a reclining nude was sold to a specialist who didn’t see the other three.
Although they share the same subject, the artwork appears to have been created over a period of time and documents the girl’s emotional journey as she ages.
The above image is thought to be the first portrait painted, featuring a young woman who looks uncannily like Jody Kidd. Suspected to have been created in the 1960s / 1970’s, in oils on canvas, she is reminiscent of Lucian Freud’s portrait style. As none of the paintings are signed, who created these beautifully executed masterpieces?
Other questions we have are:
Who is she? And who owns the fourth painting from this collection now? Can you help us find the answers?
